Denair Middle School

The English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) was established to provide advice to the Elementary School principal and staff on the school’s program for English Learners. The ELAC assists with the development of a needs assessment , Language Census Report and the education of the importance of the regular school attendance of students . Additionally, the committee provides advice to the School Site Councils on a wide range of issues relating to the improvement of curriculum and instruction for the school’s English Learners and the development of the Single plan for Student Achievement. They also provide school site representation to the District level ELAC. The committee is composed of parents or guardians of the elementary school’s English Learners.
