DMS Expanded Learning Opportunity Program (ELOP) 2024/2025
Denair Middle School is excited to offer the Expanded Learning Opportunity Program (ELOP), designed to offer additional academic support and learning opportunities. ELOP serves as a complement to the regular classroom instruction provided in general education.
By law, priority for the Expanded Learning Opportunities (ELOP) will be given to students who are designated English Language Learners (EL), in Foster care, come from low income households, and did not meet English Language Arts and Math standards last year.
Students who attend ELOP programming before and/or after school will be expected to adhere to and follow school rules as outlined in the DMS Student Handbook, this includes the appropriate use of cell phones.
The ELOP schedule is as follows:
7:30 - 8:00 Tutoring, homework help, intervention, SEL/quiet activities
8:00 - 8:25 FREE breakfast for all students
8:30 am School starts
3:15 pm School Ends
3:15 - 3:30 Break/FREE snack for all students
3:30 - 4:30 Tutoring, homework help, intervention, clubs/activities, SEL/enrichment
*On minimum days ELOP will run from 1:15 pm to 4:30 pm
At this time, transportation is not available for ELOP. Denair school bus schedules will match the regular school day. There is no cost to participate in ELOP; however, registration is required.
